Server Clustering

Dears,

I have to do server clustering in one of our server.I want to know what comes under server clustering.As I know dialog installation comes underv it.

Please make me correct and tell me what activities needs to be done under server clustering.

Hi ,

I want to configure High availability & clustering by Active-Active process shared database.

Please tell me steps required to implement it like first installaing PRD server then Cluster,restoring backups etc.

Hi,

which hardware you are supposed to use for implementation IBM AIX or sunsolaris...

After hardware setup, in cluster implementation normally CS will installed in one server node and DB will installed in other server node.

You have to take the help of OS administrator to implement special script for CS & DB failover.

If one node fails all the application will be moved to other node.

We are planning for Active-Active configuration with common database.

Hi Raj,

Checked all documents but dont find much information.

Please share if you have any some of your personal document or atleast mention activities involved in this implementation for Active -Active configuration.

Hi Shivam,

Please go through HACMP clustering guide for SAP available on IBM website for step-by-step clustering configuration.

Only MSCS clustering is supported by SAP. Other OS clusterings are supported directly by Hardware Vendor.

Clustering should be done by an experienced OS clustering consultant.
