Hi
I have created a new plant abcd.
At all our old plants Sales orders take quantities only from free available stock- unrestricted stock and do not pick it from Restricted Stock.
But from new plant abcd something does not work and sales orders pick quantities from restricted stock.
Request you to please let me know why sales order pick quantities from Restricted stock form plant abcd?

Go to OVZ9 and check whether you have selected the box restricted use

Hi,
Check the Checking group for the materials in the material which is extended to this plant in Sales General Data. Then check if the combination of cheking rule and checking group configuration setting
Carry out control for Availability Check for the combination of Checking Group (one used in material master) and checking rule (A- for Sales Order, B for Delivery) check if the unrestricted use stock is allowed or not.
There is a possibility that you linked a checking group that allows unrestricted use stock in material master.Use one which does not allow unrestricted use stock to be used.
