PI7.1 - Transport Communication Channel with CTS+

Hi,

as a continue to this thread

It's hard for me to except that each time we transport a scenario we need

to activate it in QA and PRD system. Moreover, if the Communication channel didn't exist, we'll need to create it manually in QA and PRD systems.

This method forces us to think about: who will create (have the authorization) the communication channel in QA and PRD when the scenario transported ? Also, if there is a change (for example ftp adapter, need to be changed with new directory settings) I will need to do it in all

the systems DEV QA PRD. Is there an easier method to work with the adapters settings ?

Hi,

We just transported the PI objects ( ID, IR) using CTS +. All objects except the communication channel came with active status.

CC in activation makes sense becuase the parameters are diff. One has to go in ID and put the parameters & activate it.

Hi Dimitry,

why you dont change the channels directly in Q or P environment? Transport of Communication Channel content is sometimes not very useful, as f.e. hostnames could be different.
