Planning area notes

How can we copy planning area notes from one planning area to another where the second planning area is going to have more characteristics in addition to existing ones from old planning area.Key figures are the same.There is an option to copy from one version to another for the same planning area but not b/w planning areas.Is their any function module or BAPI existing for that?Or should we do manual upload download?

Please advise.

I believe you cannot copy notes between PAs.The header information of the notes is saved in an anchor table generated for each planning area. For more info on Notes pleease check note: 57162. Also use FM: /SAPAPO/MSDP_NOTE_WRITE to write the notes.I doubt if you can use this notes of one PA in other PA as you have more characterstics

This does not answer your question but the transaction /SAPAPO/SDP_NOTES gives you the ability to view notes per planning area and key figure.
