Can the SRM url be given a shortened address.

Is there a way within SAP SRM the shorten the url users have to use to get to the logon page. Can an alias be set in the SAP system in sicf somewhere?

http://********:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart?sap-system-login-basic_auth=X&sap-client=**&sap-language=EN

I know we could just give the users shortcuts or some kind of firewall forwarding rule but can SAP do anything?

Why would you want to shorten the url? That's what favourites are for. You give them the link one time and then it can be added to their favourites. You can even roll it out using policies in Windows, so that everyone has it. Then again the other way users log on to SRM is to click on the link to the SRM start page from an email.

I know that and you know that but try telling the business that! They want it to be all neat and easy with a simple forwarding address so users don't have to suffer too much trying to work out how to create a shortcut or use favourites!
