How can we lock a document in SOLMAN.
thanks
Ram
Solved through configuration of document status.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Documents can be locked from editing by configuring the behaviour of the status schema. This configuration can be found in SPRO.

SAP Solution Manager --> Configuration --> Scenario-Specific Settings --> Cross-scenario settings --> Document Management --> Status for Documents
Make sure you follow the steps under 'Status for Documents' in order. The task Assign Status Values for Read Authorization is optional, however the others aren't.

Hi,
Let me elaborate the issue a bit more. I want that when we set the status of any document as "Approved", it should get locked for any type of editing. No one should be able to edit either document or attributes of the document. We can not use option "checked out" as we have to "checked in" for editing. We want to changed the status back to "In process" to enable editing.
thanks
Ram
