ArchiveLink + Unicode

Hi experts

I've got a problem with the archiving of the forms.

Normally, you create a printer called "ARCH" with has got the device type "ARCHIXOS".

But then the archived documents are not correct, beauce some "special" UNicode-letters won't appear. There is also an other device type "ARCHUTF8", which should be an unicode-printer.

So I think - but it's not correct --> The special letters are wrong anyway.

Anyone got an idea what to do, that the archived documents will be right?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hello all together,

after testing a while, I discovered something, which seems very strange to me:

If I print out a document once more and use as printer our "normal" printer, the archived document is wrong (even if the real printout is completely right).

BUT if I print out the document and chose our PDF-printer as printer, the archived document is absolut right - and the real printout via PDF, too!

Can anyone tell me why this happens? I can't explain this to me...

For info:

Our "normal" printer has following device name : ZHPUTF8F, which I have got from the HewlettPackard site - this is an Unicode-device for SAP, it works correct and prints all Unicode-letters.

The PDF one has the ZPDFUC device, which can be downloaded in the 999712.

So, when nobody knows the answer - I do

For those who are interested in:

1. Start report RSTXPDF3

2. Down at the screen, enter CASC_UC_DEVTYPES and chose change

3. Enable this parameter

That's it
