GTIN format and cannot be transferred error when replicating Materials

Hi All,

Has anyone seen the above error message in BDOC t-code SMW01 please?

We have replicated some materials between R/3 and SRM and we have many which are failing to replicate as the system provides the error message:

- Mat. for Initial Download: Table not supported by function

- EAN 50 XXXXX does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred

Any input would be appreciated!

Definition: Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)

Master Data (CRM-MD)

14-digit number which uniquely identifies a product worldwide.

It accomodates the EAN/UCC-8, UCC-12, EAN/UCC-13, and EAN/UCC-14 standard numbering structures established by the EAN International (International Article Numbering Association) and UCC (Uniform Code Council, formerly UPC).

Hello Muthu,

We have checked the MARA & MARC tables in R/3 and we do not maintain any EAN data, as I had suspected, but as mentioned, the R3-->SRM material replication jobs BDOC is pointing to this as the reason why materials cannot be replicated. The message in t-code SMW01 reads:

EAN 50 mater123 00001 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred

Hi Vijay

Did you sustomise any message in COM_PRODUCT_CUSTMSG in sm30/se91/T100S

As well check UOM are correctly maintained for that material

Does anyone solve this question???

T100S table shows that this error is a Warning but stops the material transfer
