Is it possible to download roles from R/3 into Enterprise portals.

I know a bit of web dynpro trying to get into EP.

I just came across a query from my coleagues which is

Is it possile to download roles and profiles from SAP R/3 to Enterprise portals, if so how is it. What is the advantage of doing so.

Hi Sergo,

The problem is solved, we could fetch portal roles including iviews worksets etc using stantdard portal APIs.
