Hi,

How can we make the Material description (short text) as Non editable or even if it is edited also it should be save with full description.

Go to OMSR and Select Table Field for Material Description MAKT-MAKTX and Identify the Field Selection key (In your Case 20)

Now go to OMS9 and Select Field Selection key 20 and against MM02 Trxn Code Set the Field to Display and Save.

No for PR, you have to do separate field selection in path SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Requisition > Define Screen Layout at Document Level

This is not applicable to Purchase Requisition Material Description.

For PR Go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Purchase Requisition-Define Screen layout atr Document level and Change the Field.

GO to OMS9 --> Double click on MARA-MEINS --> For the field selection choose 20 no. field --> MAKT-MAKTX is the field for material short text description.....Make it hide or display....
