Dears,

I have ECC5 server installed on SQL server and OS is Windows 2003 server. From a long time I am facing issue that When I start my SAP system by MMC my java engine does not get started. It remains in state:

Application stopped.

Details: You have requested an application that is currently stopped

So every time I have to start Java Engine Manually by SMICM.

Please suggest what could be reason of it.

Also want to know function of SAPJSF user in Java Stack.

Hi,

Have you checked jvm_bootstrap.out, dev_bootstrap. Please refer the following notes, that might can help you in this issue.

SAP Note No. 764417--Information for troubleshooting of the SAP J2EE

SAP Note No. 741289--Profile parameters of the J2EE Engine are lost

SAP Note No. 997510--Troubleshooting J2EE Engine 6.40/7.0 Bootstrap

Best of luck,

Hi. Are you try to check the dev_server0 and dev_dispatcher logs? Are you have the 64 or 32 bit OS?

Are you set JVM settings per note Note 723909 - Java VM settings for J2EE 6.40/7.0

P.S. SAPJSF the communication user, it uses to communicate the ABAP stak in dual stack installations or in sutuations where you want use ABAP as data source ...

Regards.

Hello,

Please check at SMICM --> Goto -

> Parameters --- > Display

J2EE settings

rdisp/j2ee_start .

It should be 1 for the J2EE to start with ABAP.
