I understand that LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI need to be set up in my ECC6 system to get ABAP Proxy to work (as per XI installation guides).
But I do not understand what the Program ID SAPSLDAPI_NONUNICODE does
and is this program running on the ECC6 or the XI box ?
The guide says to also adjust the J2EE Jco RFC Provider - is that on the ECC6 or XI server ?
Like it says enter the name of <Integration Server host> - what is the host ?
Hi
The program id is there in the jco_provider of the XI system not in ECC system
As said RFC has to be created in the ECC and should have the program configured in the XI Server.
Integartion Server host : u r XI System host
Gate way details : check SMGW transaction wud have.

It should be set up in Integration Server's (XI) ABAP & JAVA (Visula Admin) stack.

Program ID can be any unique string, generally we follow the easy naming convension like RFC name with host name. e.g. LCRSAPRFC_ABC, SAPSLDAPI_ABC. Make sure to use the same program id against same RFC in visual admin configuration.

Here host is your Integration Server (XI) name. Like ABC.. you can use the ip address as well instead of host name.
