Dead stock (MC50) is the part of your warehouse stock that has not been used for a certain period of time.
The dead stock value is calculated by multiplying the dead stock quantity with the current price.
Dead stock is calculated basing on the defined date period in Period to Analyze tab of MC50.
You can also say the stock from which the GR, GI has not been done from the defined period...This period is defined in the infosets and can't be changes easily...
Hope it helps..

hi,
DEAD STOCK IS DECIDED BASED ON THE FOLLWING BASIS:
you either have no materials in this plant (check with SE16 table MARC)
or all your materials are having a deletion indicator (flag the box for include materials with deletion indicator)
or your materials are not quantity managed in this plant.
or you have no currency maintained in table T000 for your client.
So the material which lies in the given period is placed under dead stock...
Infosets are not liable to change from MM view...
Hope it helps..
Regards
