We have some material numbers like "10 AA".
When we try to use the Select Values button on the selection criteria screen in the workbook and input a 'DIRECT INPUT' value, BEx validates the input against the master data and rejects the value.
But we know the value exists in the master data. (It does contain embedded blanks).
I believe BEx is stripping embedded blanks from the value string, therefore it cannot find a match in master data.
Has anyone had this problem? any solutions?
points awarded of course..

Hi,
Have you checked the "Query Excution Filter Val. Selection" in Business Explorer tab of a particular Infoobject is set values in master data.
Thanks,
Ashok

Have you used MATN1 conversion for your material infoobject ??

Thanks for your response.
- The Query Execution Filter Value Selection is set to 'Values in Master Data Table'. But this is not the problem. The value of '10 AA' is definitely in the master data. But the selection in BEx rejects the value. BEx is somehow stripping out the blanks.
- The conversion routine is MATN1: This is standard with 0MATERIAL, so I don't wish to change this. I don't think it is affecting things.
