Hi,

When creating a sales order, the user have to select material from a list of colors.

And more complicated, there is 2 kinds of product (division), and for each division have different colors (differents material code).

The user have to select the color coresponding of each product to order.

How it's possible.

Hi,

You have to go for Variant configuration with variant pricing (configurable material) to have pricing base of different color, etc.

Cheers !!

hello, friend.

are you talking about a material that can be customized and made-to-order based on the customer's preferences (different color options)? if so, then we are looking at a configurable material scenario, and there are many threads dealing with variant configuration.

please confirm.

regards.

Hi,

I have different product and each product have his own color.

For instance :

Material 1010 : Café décafeiné

Color : Red

Material 1020 : Café fort

Color : Black

My client need to select the product in the sales order by color (Black, Red,...real colors and not just a description).

Thanks for your comments.

Hi,

This can be controlled by the Sales Document type you are using. In the configuration of Sales Document Type there is a field Check Division. This field controls if the materials from the divisions different from the Header are allowed in the system or not. There are three options:

1. "Blank" - Allows for materials from different divisions to be used in Sales Order without any message

2. "1" - Dialog Message - This allows for materials from different division to be used in Sales Order but with warning message

3. "2" - Error Message - This does not allow for division of materials in different line items to vary from Header division.

In your case the header division can be same as one of the material division or it can be altogether different from all the material divisions.

Hope this helps with your query.

Hi,

I missed one more configuration setting relevant for your scenario. This is Item Dicvision Check mark in Sales Document Type. If you check this field then the division at line item level is taken from Material Master and Header division does not apply to all the line items.

Thanks
