Change cost centre for services with ME22N

Dear guru ,

i have created a purchase order for a position with item category D(service) and account assignment category K(cost centre). I have inserted for the accounting view the cost center.

After the saving If I a try to change the purchase order position with ME22N the system donu2019t allow to change the cost centre in the accounting view.

I have verified that for other positions with account assignment category K(cost centre) but for Item category blank(standard) the system allow to change the cost centre in the accounting view with ME22N.

Whatu2019s the problem about services ?

In OME9 acticate the Acct.assg.changable.

Hi,

When you create a service PO with an account assignment you are free

to change the account assignment through ME22N until and unless no

follow on documents have been created ie., Service Entry sheets.

You can change the account assignemnt for a service line by selecting the

particular service line and clicking the "Account Assignment" Icon below

the services table control(A green button with a arrow sign).

oss note 633986 suggest this solution but i can't change cost center in ME22N also with this way.

In a purchase order for services or a blanket purchase order, the specifications on the account assignment do not refer to the item data, but to the corresponding service line or the specified limit. To change the account assignment, proceed as follows:

u2022 Open the purchase order in the change mode.

u2022 Open the 'Services' or 'Limits' tab title.

u2022 Press pushbutton 'Account assignment' |@EM@|.

Hi,

You can't change cost center in existing line item of purchase order.

Please deleter existing line item of service order and then create new line item with reference of old line item and then change your cost center.

Due to this your purchase order number will remain same.

So i can't change cost centre for services with ME22N.

But I can change the same in ML81N.

Where i can set the changable option for the cost center in customizing.?

hi

if u want to change the account assignment for service po,

while creating po take account assignment U unknown and item categeory D . then it will not ask u the account assignment while doing po. but while entering the service entry sheet u have to give the account assignment, definately u will be knowing the correct account assignment

Hai,

U can't change the cost center in PO, but u can change the same in Service entry sheet or at time of Inv Verification, provided if u set the changable option for the cost center in customising.
