Change value of variable in SAPscript

Hi,

Can i change the value of a variable defined in SAP script. To be more detailed, i have defined a variable in SAP script by using define command and i am printing that value. based on soe condition i need to make the value of the defined variable to be zero. plz let me know how to do this.
