Crystal report error

Hi all,

I am new to BO (crystal report 2008) , I have downloaded crystal report 2008 and BO XI 3.0 for connect BI 7.0. I have created sample report with BI reports, but I am getting following errors.

1) Failed to retrieve data from data base.

2) Data base connection error : 'Function module ''/ CRYSTAL/MDX_GET_STREAM_INFO'' not found.

Any inputs really appreciated.

Hari where is the problem? It says it all to be honest.

1) Failed to retrieve data from the database means:

Details: [Database Vendor Code: <vendor

code number>].

Cause

The report SQL queries that have been sent to the server cannot be executed,

because an error was returned by the database server after it processed the

queries. For example, a field/table/procedure required by the report is missing,

or the queries contain syntax errors.

Action

Ensure the report is using the correct connection information. For example,

the data source name, server name, database name, and user name are

correct.

In a database-client test tool, ensure that the fields, tables, and procedures

used by the report exist and that SQL queries can be executed against them.

In the Crystal Reports designer, verify that the SQL query, as shown under

the Database menu Show SQL Query option, does not contain syntax errors.

If the SQL query shown in Crystal Reports is valid, execute the same SQL

query through a database-client test tool.

2) Database connection error means that it cannot find the database through the means (connection you are using) - Check your connection if ODBC then it has to be exactly the same.

Thanks for your reply.

I am unable to login to SAP system from Create New Connection, I really don't know my userID and password not accepting . But from side menu bar, start BW Query designer , it will ask loggin ID and password from there it open query designer. I can see all my Info cube and Query on them.

My userID and password is not accepting.
