Copy Express installation error

Hi all,

I had copy express PL90 installed. I uninstalled it and now I'm trying to install PL101 but I get a system message saying:

"Add-on installation failed because another version is already installed. Please ensure that the version number is higher than the version previously installed."

I've checked and there is no other version installed. Any help?

Dear Pedro,

In order to try to resolve the issue, please reinstall the addon as

per SAP Note : 819501.

Dear Pedro,

Usually, in this type of issue, the best solution is to uninstall and

re-install the Add-On, after "cleaning up"(SAP Note-819501) the

client.

If Add-On doesn't start during start SAP Business One do as follow:

1) Un-assign the all SAP Business One Add-On's. (This is most

important)

-> Administration-> AddOns-> AddOn Administration.

2) Steps to delete a corrupted AddOn registration.

-> close B1

-> Check Task Manager. If SBO AddOn.exe runing close it

(Remove the Copy Express Addon from Control Panel->Add/Remove Program

if it's still existing. Normally do not use control panel to removing

Addons!!!)

2a) Delete a following files from:

-> From
SAP Manage\SAP Business One

*AddOnsInstall.sbo

*AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo

-> Delete folder

C:
SAP Manage\SAP Business One\AddOns\Sap

3)

a) Open run from Windows start

b) type %temp%

-> Rename SM_OBS_DLL folder from Temp

-> Delete from temp folder all that are related with Addons.

Install newest AddOns. Make sure that you are logged in to SAP

Business One as S-USER.

Another very important matter is to check that you are really using

the same DI API as the SAP Business One.

Hi Pedro,

To uninstall any applications completely is always a tough job. You have to delete all the tempary files and check 2 files start with AddOn under your B1 folder. You need to delete anything relating to Copy Express from those files.
