Total result instead of Values

Hi Friends,

I have a report which gives information about Location wise sales.

Ex: This is what i am getting in the report

Location NO.of Bills TotalAmt TotalQty

Mumbai 1 100 10

1 100 10

1 100 10

Total 3 300 30

I want to get like this.....

Location NO.of Bills TotalAmt TotalQty

Mumbai 3 300 30

Delhi 96 20,000 38

I can see the values and also total in the report. I want to hide the values and just see the total for the location.

Can i get help from any one pls.

Query would not display like this,

Mumbai 1 100 10

1 100 10

1 100 10

Total 3 300 30

Anywayz

Try Query properties --->Hide repeated Key (tick this)

Also check if you have any characteristic with No Display

Thank u for ur reply.

I have tried what you mentioned but no luck for me.

I have Total amt and Qty as KFs. In the properties of each KF i did Calculate Result as " Summation" and in Calculate Single values as "Supress Result".

Now i can see the total for the location with empty rows.

Any suggestions on this.

That is emtpy because u made suppress result for 'Calculate Single values '.

Do u have any other field in ur rows other than location? -in which case the 300 gets split across those characteristic as different rows if that characteristic has different values. like in drilldown.

Try by making char as hide

U may get the result only then

or try calc single value as ..........with other options

check your result by including only location in your rows. i.e, remove all the other char from the drilldown of the query

if this works fine, then it should be because of any other char present in the drill down

Hi Friends,

Thanks for helping me out.

I found the solution by doing some R&D. I want to share with you what i have done.

In the rows i took out all the other objects except Location.

In Columns i have created a formula for NO. OF BILLS with Replacement Path....

Replace Variable Value : Attribute Value

Attribute : Characteristic Reference (Constant1)

thats it i have got the answer.

Mumbai 3 300 30 are using excatly these fileds.

i think ur using one more charctrstic.

if u remove that charctrstic, then it will be work fine
