Hi Experts,
We have implemented AE5.2. I want to know what happenes when I craete a AE request for creation of a new userid but that userid already exists in the system.
E.g I created a reqyest to create user Test1234 . The request was approved & autoprovisioning was done. But the user didn't receive a new password .
Regards,
Shailesh
Thnx Guys
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
The scenario has been explained by HERSH but why password was not sent to user has a simple explanation. Actually the same password will still work for the user in change request.
If a user wants to change password then you should implement password self service.

Hello Shailesh,
IF you create a new User Request for a user who already exists at the backend, this request is treated as a "Change request" for that user and only the roles get added to the user mentioned.
To explain further:
Suppose you have a user PYARE already in SAP with roles X and Y. Now, if you create a "New User request" for username "PYARE" with two roles A and B, then the request after approval gets closed with user PYARE having roles A, B, X and Y.

Hersh.
