Once Material is Flagged in MM06 you Need to Archive the Material Master Records thru Archiving Program SARA Trxn code with Archiving Object MM_MATNR

hi,
Firstly Falg for deletion through MM60, after this you have to archive the material master through MMDE...
These are the steps:
1) Flag material for deletion. transaction MM06
2) Run report MMREO001 - Selection of materials flagged for deletion and select the material
3) Run report MMREO050 Archive Materials to archive the material (some customisig settings might be required)
4) Run report MMREO110 Deletion Program for Archiving Materials to delete the material from the database.
Hope it helps..

MMDE is NOT the archiving programm.
MMDE is solely solution for a test client, which is mainly meant to erase material masters after a test migration. This programm can only be executed in a test client. Once you have transactional data, this program will not check on this, it will delete material masters and leave the transactional data for this material in the system, means it is creating inconsistencies.
The only way to get rit of material master is and should be thru archiving.(transaction SARA for object MM_MATNR)
Hi
Flag them for deletion using MM06
& then archive the materials using MM71
Thanks & Regards
Kishore
