Dear Gurus,
I have bought a laptop(pentium dual core, 2 GHz, 2GB, 160 GB) with OS vista home. I'm planning to install SAP R/3. I heard XP is better than Vista. Vista will be sloww. what i have to do? shall i remove vista & install XP? Suggest me a good solution.Thanks in advance.

Hi Pradeesh,
Even xp is not supported by SAP.But you can install sap r3 on it.Best o/s will be windows 2003 . you can manage with xp not with Vista.

If this activity you done before to buy laptop then you won't have this type of problem. Now you install win 2k on this system and then install SAP R3

If you're going to install SAP R/3 4.6C, below platforms are supported
WIN 2000 PROF. Released Conditionally (check /pam for more details and conditions)
WIN VISTA 32-BIT/64-Bit Released
WIN XP 2002 HOME 32-BIT Released Conditionally
WIN XP 2002 PROF. 32-BIT/64-BIT Released
