Behavior of Cascading Prompts in Web Intelligence

Description of the Problem:

The customers wants to add leaf as well as nonleaf (root) nodes while using cascading prompts in WebI reports.

Before BOXIR2 FP 3.6/FP 4.1 the behavior of cascading prompts was different in Edit and View modes for WebI reports. In Edit mode we were able to select root as well as leaf nodes in the cascading tree of prompts however in View mode we were able to select only leaf nodes.

To make the prompt behavior same in both Edit and View mode the ADAPT00984701 was introduced in FP 3.6. Now in both View and Edit mode we can only select leaf nodes and not the root (nonleaf) nodes.

The customer says that it is necessary for them to select root as well as leaf nodes in both View and Edit modes for WebI reports. For them this feature is the basis of implementation approach in their pilot project .

Is it possible to implement this feature?

BO Version: BOXIR2 SP4 FP 4.1

Steps to Reproduce:

1- Login Designer and import the Efashion universe.

2- Go to Tools-> List of Values-> Create Cascading Lists of Values

3- Select State and City and generate LOVs

4- Save the universe and export it

5- Login Infoview and create a webi report:

In the Result Objects panel drag and drop the objects: State, year, city

In the Query Filters panel, drag and drop City:

<City> <In list> <Prompt>

And run the query

6- In your list of value you can see State and City values, which is normal.

Here he wants to select State as well as City to run the query.
