Prining problem from application server

dear all

i m unable to send print from application server,while i can print from DB server

on application server i restarted print spool service from service.msc, but all in vain.

plz tell me how can i resolve that issue

hi imran,

check your SAP parameter whether you have spool work process (SPO). if it exist, try to add more spool work process on your apps server. may be it's sufficient with your user load.

Hi....

when i check through sp01 , it given error in detail as

desciption values

Status : Incorrect (Error in ABAP pocessing)

job status: completed

area : Data transfer

error : cannot call ABAP Function

Also tell me

how can i add spool work process on apps server,

Hi and aoa,

Dear Imran plz check following things:

1. Is the spool service started?

2. check and define spool process in RZ10

3. if problem stil persist then restart ur system.

Problem has been solved

there was no spool work process (SPO) on Apps server ,

added parameter throught RZ10

rdisp/wp_no_spo = 2

now i can sent print fromApps server

are you using LP/LPR? and are you able to ping the IP address from the application server.

is the application servers spool server is active? check for the spool work process traces.
