Dear All,

I want to know that which are the requirements when we decide to use Strategy 11 in place of Strategy 10. Because at the end I found no difference in both strategies.

Best Regards

Dear,

Strategy 10

Choose this strategy if you want production to be determined by a production plan (Demand Management) and if you do not want sales orders to influence production directly.

Strategy 11

This strategy is particularly useful if you need to produce, regardless of whether you have stock or not. For instance, steel or cement producers might want to use this strategy because they cannot shut down production; a blast furnace or a cement factory must continue to produce, even if this means having to produce to stock.

Hi,

There are differences in strategy 10 & 11.

in 10 net requirement calculation is done where stock is taken into account & in 11 no stock is taken into account. its gross requirement planning.

Also PIR reduction is done at PGI stage of sales order for 10 strategy & in strategy 11 PIR reduction is done at production order GR stage.

For 11 strategy we need to use mix MRP indiacator as 2.

So basically its all about stock consideration diff in both the startegies.

Hope this will help you

Dear Ibne Khalil ,

There is indeed difference in both strategies . Strategy 10 will consider warehouse/plant stock but strategy 11 will not .

Strategy 10 is typical make to stock strategy and 11 can be used in cement industry or furnace Industry where production can not be stopped and will happen irrespective of plant stock .
