Dear all,
I have issue on assembly processing.
I have and standard coding mask used for assembly processing having the
Nomenclature as follows .AB.XXX-XXXXX
AB.DEF-00001
Now my sales order number is say 0000500001
Now the project will be created automatically as follows AB.001-00001
Because the letters DEF will be replaced by the sales order number from the right.
Now my sales order number is say 0000600001
Now the project should be created automatically as follows AB.001-00001
But as per this already a coding mask exits and system will not create the same coding.
Or will the system not create the sales order 0000600001 in this type of context
Can any one advise how the system will be have in this type of scenario.
Regards

Hi,
based on my observation, system will still create the sales order (0000600001 in your case) but since project with same name already exists, it will no longer create a new project (since project definition has to be unique). but what happens is additional network and activities are created within the existing project.
i suggest to change your masking to accommodate the number range if you think its possible to happen. (if you will have more than 100,000 sales order)
best regards
