Special Production order type

Hello Guru,

We would like to use "Special Production Orders". (We are using only Z001-General Production Order and Z007-Production Order for test Production at this moment.) We would like to administrate the working hours of cleaning, inventory, maintenance, warehousing and other activities plus the number of the people who are working on those activities. We do not want to post any cost directly to the Production Order just to enter the working hours and the number of the people. (The cost will be posted by the payroll calculation at the month end.)What kind of order types do we have to use for this purpose? What kind of special initial setup is needed? I think that the only order type which we can use for this purpose is Z008 - Production Order for Maintenance. I tried to create a Z008 Production order type in the testsystem but it seems that this order type needs a material number at the beginning also. What kind of material master has to be created in order to have the possibility to create this kind of production order?

The problem is that the system wanted to post the cost. It is strange because no cost should be posted on this type of Production Order.

Thanks

hello,

Currently we have 9 Type of production type namely:

1. Production order used to produce product - Settlement to production

2. Production order used to manage cleaning in place (CIP) - Settlement to Cost center

3. Production order used to manage rework in Manufacturing (rework for quality reason) - Settlement to production

4. Production order used to manage test in Manufacturing with commercialised product - Settlement to production

5.Production order used to manage rework in Manufacturing (rework for commercial reason) - Settlement to production

6. Production order used to manage test in Manufacturing with non commercialised product - Settlement to Cost center

7. Production order used to manage exceptionnal maintenance - Settlement to Cost center

8. Production order used to manage exceptionnal set up - Settlement to Cost center.

We do not want to post any cost directly to the Production Order just to enter the working hours and the number of the people. how could we achieve our goal?

any set up must be use in material master? we were using material type non valuated. Then we created Operational and Costing BOMs, Operational Routings and Production Versions for these materials. The problem is that the system wanted to post cost to these Production Orders

please help me.

thanks

Ryan
