BR0074W_BRCONNECT call failed

I have upgraded my oracle patch & client to 10.2.0.4.0

yesterday,then i did offline backup with DB13.The backup is Successful with warnings 001.

error: BR0074W_BRCONNECT call failed

note:1261142

It is oracle's bug ?If can be solved?

A workaround for the problem was implemented in:

BRBACKUP 7.00 patch 38.

BRBACKUP 7.10 patch 17.

Thanks for you answer,and how can i to upgrade my brbackup version ?Download new version and copy to that folder,and overwrite?

If you want you can download the latest kernal from http://service.sap.com/swdc and change it in your sap system. But note 1261142 say this error can be ignored .then why going for it?

The sap have not provide the BRBACKUP 7.00 patch38,and the highest brbackup version of the patch is 36,faint~

Then ignore warnings, and wait while will leave 38.... Regards.

I run BRBACKUP 7.00 patch 32 with Oracle 10.2.0.4 with patch 8 and do not get these errors.

Hello MR. Eric, per note this error comes on BRBACKUP on IBM AIX platform , are you use AIX ? Regards.

I am on Windows. I did not notice this.

anyways, he can open a case with SAP, they sometimes provide unreleased patches to selected customers.

The patch 38 have not been released.

BRBACKUP 7.00 patch38 can't fix this bug.

I have upgraded brtools version to 7.10(17+),it can fix this bug.
