Former Member

Hi ,

I am trying to install "SAPKIBIIIH" in SAP BI using Tcode :SAINT.

OCS Package :SAPKIBIIIH

Package Type :Installation

Software Comp:BI_CONT

Release : 703

After giving the OSSNOTE PASSWORD for SAPKIBIIIH, the installation is starting but after some time it is failing as :

Error in phase : Disassemble

Reason for Error : PATCH_FILE_READ_ERROR

Return Code :12

I have uncar the support pack through CMD, and kept the .ATT and .PAT files in \eds\in folder.

I tried all types of possibilities...

I am using Add-on Installation Tool version 7.00/0020 -for "saint"

Please help...

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Vamsi

Hi Vamshidhar,

Check whether the option of disassembling data files is switched on.

Go to transaction SPAM

Go to Extra --> Settings

Check whether the user <sid>adm has write authorization for the

directory /usr/sap/trans/cofiles.

The Add-On Installation Tool requires that the Change and Transport

System (CTS) be configured correctly.

Hi,

I had similar kind of issue.

Error in phase : DISASSEMBLE

Reason for error : Patch_file_error

Return code : 9

Error Message : OCS Package.. <Filename>

Download the files from market place, again. Uncar the files and start with the first step spam update.

Hi Vamsidhar,

Check file permission for the recent extracted .PATT files, check permissions of /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data

Check if the disassembly was okay, retry the step

Hope it helps.

Cheers

Hi,

Firstly check the file copied in EPS/in have full permission for logged in user <SID>adm.

Sometimes there is a chance for file corruption also, so try to extract the file once again in the same location.

Last option will be update saint to latest version, there is no link between the error you got but just can give a try

Adminsitartor or SIDADM If Administrator it fails.

Try login as SIDADM & check r3trans -d returns <0000>
