To explore the possibilities of the RFID technology it is crucial tounderstand the components involved, the physics, and the basic principles behind the technology.

Beyond the technology the possibilities of using collected RFID data via the SAP Auto ID Infrastructure and SAP Object Event Repository will be presented, and RFID enabled processes (inbound, outbound, returnable items, KANBAN u2026) will be discussed.

Current standards of the Electronic Product Code (EPC) for RFID tags will be explained. Reference projects from several industries underline the value customers can get out of RFID today and the integration into SAPu2019s business systems.

The session will close with recommendations on how to start an RFID project and required skills and resources. Tips and tricks for feasible project planning will round out the webcast.
