Reg - Error 'Cost center 1000 not set up in control area 1000 on 18.10.2008

Hi Experts ,

While creating work center the following error is coming

"Cost center 1000 not set up in control area 1000 on 18.10.2008" , How to solve this?.

Kindly suggest.

Dear,

Pls check your Cost Center activeness via:

SPRO --> IMG --> Controlling --> Cost Center Accounting -->Master data --> Cost Centers -->Active Inactive Cost Center

Please check whether the validity period of your cost centre especially the start date from the cost centre master record.

Follow the steps,

1.Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.

2.Create an activity type using T code - KL01.

3.Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.

4.In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal

Year as 2008,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5)---> enter the per hour Rate

under Fixed price and set value as 2 for distribution key and plan price indicator as 3.

5.After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center

Check with this & revert back.

Dear,

the cost center is not created as per the date or the cost center is not active..check in the cost center, the active tick is there are not?
