Hello,
We recently performed a test upgrade from R/3 to ECC 6.0. The new system has very bad performance. We have our systems on Windows with SQL Server 2005. The CI, DB and AI all exist on different servers with 10GB RAM each. The lastest statistics that we got for st03n are:
Dialog Response Time: Avg Proc Time:1394.7 ms
DB Time: 1122.4 ms
Roll Wait Time: 163.4 ms.
This is when there is hardly any activity going on in the system.
Also in Rz20>CCMS Monitor Templates>Performance Overview--> I see the response time and DB time in red. Rest all green.
Is this a DB problem? Please suggest.
Regards,
Sridevi
Looks like DB time is too high, did you updated the statistics?, Is the system working in 32 or 65 bits?
I have done 2 upgrades on Windows 32 bits and after this, I had to move the systems to 64 because the systems were too slow (DB also) and it was a huge improvement.
Take a look at the ST04 and try to get info about the high DB times.

also monitor sm50, and check the action against each process (sequential read, direct read etc). monitor for half an hour and paste the result as per your observation.
