Upgrade from 2005B to 2007B

Hi All,

If I upgrade 2005B PL 32 to 2007B, the license server will also get updated.

So, if I want to restore 2005B PL32 from 2007B, will it be possible without affecting license?

Hi,

The license need to renew. you can ask the partner to do that. You only need to pay the maintenance.

The license will give impact if you upgrade your SBO application version from 2005 to 2007.

You are correct. You need to import it. The digital signature of license is different between version.

Hi,

No, it is not possible to use license 2005 version if your B1 version have became 2007 version. The license is actually very different i.e. version 2007, SP00 and the PL version. The other have to be same with license 2005 i.e. license component, database type used, etc. Especially component, as long as no additional license components, you do not need to upgrade the license.

Restoring back from 2007 to 2005 might not be possible.

Perhaps you could use the backup that you would take before the upgrade install 2005 fresh and restore the backup
