CRM 2007 Business Package

Hi,

We are in the process of installing CRM 2007 and we do not have Enterprise Portal integration involved. I would like to know if we still need to install CRM Business Package ? My understanding of Business Package is that it comes with iView content that can be integrated with Portal. Please advise.

Hi,

you're absolutely right, the Business Package is only required for using CRM 2007 integrated into the SAP Enterprise Portal. If you're running CRM 2007 standalone (With local "L-Shape" that is part of the CRM ABAP server deployment), you don't need the business package.

Also, CRM 2007 has a built-in user role support independent of the Enterprise portal; this means you can define and use multiple roles within the CRM system itself that are managed locally.

I am new to Bussiness package implementation and configuration.Could you please help to provide some link or document to configure and implement CRM 7.0 bussiness packgae with EP.
