How do you set the readmode default for infoproviders in BI 7.0. I have instructions from when I did this in 3.5, but they are not making sense now.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi,

in this SAP note you will find detailed information about readmode settings:

The query settings in RSRT -> Attributes

SAP Note Number: [1136163|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bw_bex/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31313336313633%7d]

The SAP note 1022589 describes how the default values for the query attributes of an InfoProvider type are inherited by the concrete InfoProvider up to the query:

The query settings RSRT -> Query Mass Maintenance

SAP Note Number: [1022589|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bw_bex/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31303232353839%7d]

Hope this helps.

Andreas,

Thanks. I was able to find my answers in the links you posted.

To change a cube - RSDIPROP.

Also helpful was mass query change - RSRT Environment > Query Mass Maintenance

Thanks,

Chris

Hi........

Did you mean Query Read mode...........if so.........

A query read mode can be defined either on an individual query basis or as a default for new queries using the query monitor (transaction RSRT). Web reporting applications create less network overhead than BEx Analyzer, and using Web Reports typically results in better performance than BEx-based queries.
