Hi all,

I have a workbook with 3 queries that use the same structure, the 3 have set the same Filter valuer (Fiscal Period), is there a way to add a filter option that affects the 3 queries at the same time? if so, can someone please help me to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You mentioned that your 3 queries with the same structure have the same Filter value (Fiscal Period). Is this fiscal period a variable or fix value? If the queries are all restricted to the same variable (I mean the technical name of the variable) and when you enter the value in the variable dialog during executing the workbook, all the query results must already be affected by the selection. (in BEx 7.0)

If you want to select the fiscal period in the workbook manually, you can insert a design item, e.g. dropdown box, which has been assigned to 3 Data Provider (your 3 queries).

Hope it's helpful.

If it's versipn 3.5 the variable should "melt" into one screen

If not then you insert the query with the most variables last

Hi, thanks a lot for your time.

Thanks a lot YY, that completly worked! I assigned the same variable to the 3 querys and the selection affected the 3 in my workbook.
