Independent Requirement Quantity(VSF) in MRP list

Hello SAP Gurus,

SAP calculates the how much product needs to be made to meet actual and forecasted orders. Forecasts (VSF) are loaded into SAP for each product several months into the future. As Customer Orders are entered into SAP, the forecast (VSF) for the month is reduced. However, in the case of Release Orders (inter-company purchase orders), the forecast is not reduced. This can cause the Independent Requirement to be larger than needed.

Please let me know how setting can be chaged for the Release Orders to reduce VSF in the same way that Customer Orders do.

Make sure that the consumption indicator in MD62 is 3

The filed is CI which ihere there in itme page. try and come back

Hi Rajesha,

I have tried with giving consumption indicator 3 in MD62 but still it is not working.

IR doesn't get reduced by release order (STO) quantity where as it is getting reduced by sales order qty.

Please advise.
