Hi

In MD04 transaction, i see that, for a Raw Material purchase requisition and planned order is created for the 2 buckets of demand.

i have given 100 per each bucket, and after MRP run it has generated planned order for 100 and purch reqn for 100. Why the system doing so. Please help me to understand this situation.

Hi,,

What parameter you maintained in the planning run?. if you maintained 2(pur req in the opening period) in the per requsition selection system will give pur req in the opening period and the remaining period it will create planned orders.

thanks for your immediate responce. you are correct i had used parameter purch reqn in opening period. Could you tell me what exactly is the opening period and how it is creating purch reqn for that and from where this system catches the opening period.

It is meaning that material periods. Always two periods will be opened. Previous period and current period will be opened.
