Hi experts,
After i transfer a material from plant XX to plant XXXX and doing the Tcode VL10D / VL02D im getting the error, "Serial number profiles differ"
What can i do to solve this situation?
Thanks in advance.
Hi ,
Check serial number profiles in both Plants ...It should be same in Both Plants when transfering stock from one plant to another.
Thanking You ,

Hi
Goto MM03- Enter the material number, enter Plant A,Check the serial number profile for that particular material-plant combination in Plant data/storage2 view.
Goto MM03- Enter the material number, enter Plant B,Check the serial number profile for that particular material-plant combination in Plant data/storage2 view.
If both differs then you need to match anyone with the other

Check configuration in transaction OIS2
and Check material master General plant storage data view plant wise for both the plants , it should be for both the plants for stock transfer..

Hi guys -
But what if I want to have different serial control in the delivering plant and in the receiving plant ?
Imagine that in delivering plant 2000 I want to have an obligatory serial number usage for the procedure Completness check for delivery , however in the receiving plant 6000 I do not need S/N control at all.
see my problem ? Business-wise I need different serial number profile between the plants , but then I get an error message Serial number profiles differ whenever I want to transfer between these plants...
Any suggestions?
OIS2 defines functionality/control per serial profile , howevver it is a client-level definition.
Perhaps wecan define different functionality to same profile in different plants ?
Thanks
Adi
