Good morning all,

I've successfully installed NW4 6.4. MaxDB 7.5. I list here the rpm:

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 58034916 21 set 2004 sapdb-7.5-2.i386.rpm

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1791241356 21 set 2004 sapdb-db-files-7.5-2.i386.rpm

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1206766 21 set 2004 sapdb-db-log-7.5-2.i386.rpm

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 762631126 21 set 2004 sapj2ee-srv-sapdb-6.40-2.i386.rpm

I'm confused about the licence type I have to require:

N4S - SAP NetWeaver 2004s MaxDB.

N4S - SAP NetWeaver 2004s (up to SP8)

How do I discover Service Level ?

Thanks in advance.

Fra.

DB license is a part of NetWeaver,

run saplicense -get as <SID>adm, then you will get a hardware key, which you have to register at SAP site. SAP will provide you a permanent license as per contract.

Dear Sunil,

Francesco is installing the Testdrive, for which it is not possible to get a license, because NW4 is also deprecated. I've already contacted the colleagees to remove the old download, but they are still there.

Thank you very much,

Please be patient with me, I'm new here and in SAP too.

Probably I forgot to say that I've installed a "test environment".

It seems I have to require the 90 days - valid license here: http://www.sap.com/minisap

Well I tried it but I was asked to insert just the System ID field.

In this field I have to choise among these.

...

N4S - SAP NetWeaver 2004s MaxDB.

N4S - SAP NetWeaver 2004s (up to SP8)

...

Thank you.

Oh thank you.

So what do you suggest me ?

Will I able to install a Test environment (maybe under Linux) 32bit ?

Thank you.
