Normally, if one of our LDAP servers (we have 2) goes down, the BOE system re-establishes the connection without any problems. However, we have been having major problems lately with our LDAP servers and both of them went down (at different times) on the same day. Later that day, no one could log into InfoView with their LDAP credentials. The login page just kept clocking away. I ended up having to restart both of our BOE servers.
Is there a way to forcibly re-establish the the LDAP connection without having to restart the BOE services or the whole server itself?
Thanks in advance,
Amy
Also if that fails try restarting your CMS,
and if you are using LDAP against AD you may need to patch to SP4(which should fix your update option so restarting the CMS is not needed)

From the CMC >> Authentication >>LDAP tab, clicking the Update button should refresh all groups/establish a connection to LDAP.
Oh and you will need to login with the default Administrator account.
