Batches only available

Dear SAP Guru's

I want to transfer the stock to subcontractor through MB1B , 541 Movement type.While selecting the batch system shows all the batch which already consumed. Our requirement is that system should show only available batches for selection.

Please suggest.

What you see is probably when you hit F4 in the batch field.

If you want select only available batches, then you have to setup batch search strategy for inventory management.

Or you modify the matchcode program to list only batches that have stock

You can define matchcodes in transaction SE11.

Depending on your batch level the search help is either MCHA or MCH1.

And these search helps have other search helps included.

So you create a new Z search help like any of the included search helps are defined.

Of course you have to define the search help exit with a small coding to restrict the search to batches with stock only.

Then you include your Z search help to the standard search help.

Am also having a similar ticket. Is there any config settings to full fill the requirement with out depending on ABAPer.

Can you pls explain how to set up Batch search strategy in Inventory management? Of course, I tried this, but seems like am missing out some setting. Pls explain the pre requisites for this & detailed procedure to set up search strategy. Thanks in advance.
