production memo

where do i write a production memo.

i know i can view this in my order header -

i tried writing something in the long text of the sales order line item.

item-- production note.

but i cant select the production memo. its Grey.

do i have to do some spro settings for that.

i desperately need to pull some text to flow from sales order to production order.

isw there any other way.

please provide an informative ans. i am new to sap.

Deepu,

Check if the below config helps you. I tried at my system but I do not have authorization, hence could not go to the next screen. But this might help you.

SPRO -->Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Text Control

Other option would be in the process/production order creation user-exit to check the production note from sales order item and add it to the production memo long text using TEXT Copy Function Modules.

Please try and revert back.
