active version of emulated 3.x datasource could not be activated

we are bringing objects from 3.5 to 7.0BI and trying to change the rules to transformations.

I activated the datasource , replicated in BI and when i try to create transformations,

I get this error message :

"active version of emulated 3.x datasource could not be activated" for a particular datasource.

How should i proceed to create transformations?

Hi,

First make sure that, the BI Content installation is succesful; whn you get that message you have stated, it take you to the transfer rules screen, activate your transfer rules and Comm structure. then make sure your data source clearly shows Active version. Next step would be to migrate your 3.x data source, which is active to BI 7

Hi,

Right click on the datasource and migrate it and activate it... You will be able to create the transformation after that.

Hi try to active the datasource with program

RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL

Try to run it ....

if it not works, try to run the program in debug and modify the value of

l_objvers

from 'A' to 'M'

and continue...
