how to split production order among several work centers

Dear all,

Can anyone explain me how i can distribute a single production order among different work centers.For example i have a production order of printing job for 1000 quantity.i have four printersbut in routing i have defined only one.now i want the job to be distributed among all the printers.How can i achieve this?

Hi,

In workcenter capacity tab page select capacity field in bottom. System will show another screen. In this enter no.of individual capacity as 4.

In routing select the opn & double click. In this enter no. capacity splitting is 4. Make tick mark in required splitting.

Now run MRP. System will schedule all 4 printers.

Dear,

You need to create this as a single work center with 5 Individual Capacities, and you can use the capacity leveling/dispatching option to allocate the right workcenter to the individual machine.
