Can we use same alert category name for both Inbound and Outbound scenario's mentioned below?

My scenario's are like ABC --> XI --- SAP

SAP --> XI ---> ABC

Yes, but with different alert rules and conditions.!!!!!!!!

I see no problem in using that. If you wish to see different alerts on the basis of Inbound/Outbound flows. Just make sure you use approriate "error category" & "error code" to distinguish it.

Create two different alert rules for two interfaces.
