Dear,
There is noting like QM work center and PP work center only the Control key we use accodingly.
Quality work centers functions normally as the production work center,Tcode remain the same -CR01,If it is only for inspection then it will have only the labour category & if it also involves some mahcine then machine category will also be used
Difference is in CR01, make change in std value key depends on your quality workcenter.
If you are using any machine for inspection include machine time, setup time or if you are using labour only assign only labour time like that you can configure depends for the application.
In the routing QP01 use this workcenter & control key ex.PPQM and assign Inspection character.(Usage 5,Status 4)
And use tcode QI01 for quality info record.
Make sure in material master Quality view activated with inspection type.
Respect of your inspection type Inspection lot will create when goods receipt.Check in MD04.
QA32 for result recording & usage decision.
QE51N Results record.
QA11 Usage Decision.

Rightly said by Mr. Brahmankar.
There is nothing too much difference between Work center of PP and QM.Just type of Resource Category is change to distinguish this two Types.You can create it either from CRC1 or CR01.
If you are not using QM order (just to cover Cost behind QC testing and Schduling) than for QM work centers only Basic Data and Default value are enough.

Hi,
QM is used to check the quality of the material produced or procured.
This is done in both MM and PP.
For MM
While selectiing the vendor we see the standards maintained by vendor. If vendor is maintaining standards. we vll select him.
When we receive the goods , stock is put into Quality stock and Stock is termed as Quality INspection stock. We will inspect the stock with the given parameters. If stock is OK with quality test, then it wil be moved into Unrestricted use or otherwise stock is moved into blocked stock.
Vendor will be given rating based on the inspection clearing parametrs.
You can block vendor if he is not maintaining quality or u can rate him low or high accordingto stock.
Mean while we have quality system(ISO.....) defined in the system.
IN PP Inprocess INspection takes places where required.
