TDMS - data transfer aborted

Former Member

Hi all,

We are on TDMS SP9 and running the phase 'Data Transfer'.

Almost all activities are finished in this phase except for 2.

These are SXMSCLUP and SXMSCLUR. The data transfer gets aborted but we do not get an error. Nothing can be found in logs, system logs etc.

When viewing the details of phase Data Transfer the status of these two activities is 'not started yet'.

But they don't get started even when starting this phase again.

Did anyone run into this also?

Kind regards,

Dave Arends

Hello,

I just had this same problem, although with two different tables.

This is what I got from SAP:

"Please apply the notes 1259257 and 1269615 in the central system and

repeat the data selection.

The activities:-

"Start Data Selection"

"Start Data Selection for Header Tables"

have to be re-started. If no activity is being started from the activity "Start Data Selection for Header Tables" then, please use the

troubleshooting for the activity to start."

These two notes are pretty recent, although they are listed in the lastest version of note 1003051.

fyi SP10 is out today.

There are a few things that I have to do to make that Data Transfer section to work.

1. Every job has to be completed before moving into the next one. Especially the Filler header tables(collective Exec.) section. If one of the jobs is not filled, any job downstream will be aborted.

2. Restart the job that is fail. If it cannot restart, SM37 to view any job is active, if it is beloging to TMDS, kill it. If that is not working, use SM50 and kill that RFC call. Kill the job via SM50 have the wrong status on SM37. If this is he case, under SM37 menu>Job>check status. This will send the correct status to TDMS

3. If there is nothing running on the central system, login into the Receiver system to kill that job. If the user id is locked on the receiver system, ask the Basis team to unlock your id.

4. If anytime the job is failing, restart the previous job and restart the the job below that. Do the master refresh.

Good luck!

Hello,

There is no general issue in TDMS, due to which these 2 tables not getting loaded.

Please create an OSS message , so that TDMS support can check the issue and help you out.

Thanks,

Rupam
