Hi

You need to release the query for OLE DB

Open the query in the Bex Query Designer click on Query > Properties > Advanced and tick "Allow External Access to this query"

Then you should see the query in Designer

Hi,

to explain why we recommend a query vs cube:

- when connecting to a cube directly you will lose the following functionality

- restricted keyfigures

- calculated keyfigures

- SAP variables

- structures

- navigational attributes

Hi Xwu

Are you using Designer or the Universe builder?

If it is Designer:

-Make sure you have the latest Service Packs for both Business Objects and the Integration Kit installed.

-It is recommended to create a universe on top of a Bex query rather than a cube
